We travel by bus route no3 and J. We will sail from Harberton Bay to Hammer Island. They can walk with penguins for 1 hour with a specialized guide.

First part of the tour: Walking with Penguins
We will leave in a Bus traveling National Route N3 and Route J.
Then we will sail 15 minutes to Hammer Island, where we will walk 1 hour alongside the Magellanic penguins and Papuans. Return to the city by bus. 

Second part of the tour: Navigation Beagle Channel
We will sail through the Beagle Channel, where we can observe the Fueguin fauna on Bird Island and the Isle of Wolves, as well as the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.

For one hour, we will walk through the colony accompanied by a specialized guide, respectfully and safely sharing space with Magellanic and Gentoo penguins.
This is not about observing them from a distance — it's about walking among them as they naturally go about their daily routines in their habitat.

Ushuaia: Martillo Island and Walk Among Penguins Full-Day Tour

The cruise departs from Ushuaia's Tourist Pier, offering panoramic views of the coast, including landmarks like the Maritime Museum and Mount Olivia. Sailing southwest, we approach Los Lobos Island to observe sea lions, then continue to Los Pájaros Island, home to Magellanic and Imperial cormorants. We sail on to the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse and see remains of the Monte Cervantes shipwreck. Crossing the Beagle Channel, we view Gable Island and Puerto Williams before reaching Martillo Island, where we observe curious Magellanic penguins swimming and nesting. After this unforgettable encounter, we return to Ushuaia, passing Estancias Túnel and Fique.

Navigate through the Beagle Channel: Seal, Bird & Penguin Islands

Unparalleled experience of sailing the Beagle Channel eastward enjoying the wonderful scenery of the channel and the mountains that surround it, there we will see Puerto Almanza on the Argentine coast and on the Chilean coast the Puerto Williams Naval Base, and arrive at Martillo Island where we will have the opportunity to see a colony of Magellanic Penguins and some specimens of Papua penguins.

Beagle Channel Navigation Penguin Colony

We set sail from the local tourist pier crossing the wide Bay of Ushuaia until we reach the Beagle Channel through Paso Chico.
There we will sail around the Island of the Birds where we will be able to appreciate the Fuegian avifauna. We will observe: Skúas, Black-browed Albatross, Vapor Ducks, Cauquenes, Cook Gulls and Gray Gulls. Then, we will approach Isla de los Lobos where we will be able to observe sea lions with one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges archipelago.
Arriving at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators), we will be able to see the colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rock Cormorants while listening to the story of the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes that he starred in 1930.
We will make a descent in Puerto Karelo, belonging to the Bridges Islands, where you can visit genuine Yámana shell middens. This guided walk lasts approximately 20 minutes and concentrates us on a panoramic point where very good photographs can be taken.

In 1833, Charles Darwin set sail along the Beagle Channel. You can follow his course on a 3-hour catamaran cruise from Ushuaia. You'll capture sights of Ushuaia's former prison, check out the End of the World Museum, and admire views of Cinco Hermanos and Olivia mountains, among other sights. 

Disembark on the Bridges Islands for a 20-minutes walk to visit the ruins of natives populations that inhabited the island.

Explore the Beagle Channel: Navigate and Trek the Bridges Islands

We will enjoy a relaxing catamaran sailing along the historic and challenging Beagle Canal. One of the objectives will be to obtain the typical postcard with the lighthouse.
We set sail from the local tourist pier by touring the wide Ushuaia Bay, watching the city.
We will sail around Bird Island where we appreciate the Fueguin birdlife watching Skúas, Black-Brown Albatrosses, Steam Ducks, Cauquens, Cooking Gulls and Grey Seagulls; and the Isle of Wolves where we will see specimens of sea lions of one and two hairs. Both islands belong to the Bridges Archipelago. When you arrive at Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse (The Illuminators or also the colloquially misnamed Lighthouse of the End of the World), you will see colonies of Imperial Cormorants and Rock Cormorants.

Navigation: Beagle Postcards

The cruise begins at Ushuaia's Tourist Pier, sailing through the Beagle Channel with panoramic views of the city, including landmarks like the Maritime Museum and Mount Olivia. We visit the Bridges Islands and disembark at Karelo Island for an easy hike. Continuing to Los Lobos Island, we observe sea lions in their natural habitat. Next, we pass Los Pájaros Island, home to Magellanic and Imperial cormorants, ideal for birdwatching. We then reach the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, near the site of the Monte Cervantes shipwreck. Navigation Beagle Channel Isla de Lobos

We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Pier of our city, towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia.
We sail towards the southwest, approaching the sea lions island observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting.
Continuing the navigation, we will go to the Birds island, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot species of marine birds.
We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse.
Following the south coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, when we get to Martillo Island, we will approach the beach and will observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with remarkable curiosity, enter the sea by swimming under the catamaran and re-emerge. A party that invites us to take countless photographs.
From here we return by sailing to the Tourist Pier
