Niigata citizens led lucrative lives making their living by shipping cargo and selling local products (mainly agricultural). The city was flooded with sailors from all over the world, allowing Niigata to blend and change with their influence.

Join us on a historical walking tour through the old port town Niigata, where we will explore the unique harmony of Western and Japanese cultures that developed in Niigata in the 1800s.

Niigata is one of the leading centers of food culture in Japan.​

While walking through charming avenues, you can feel the atmosphere of old port town and taste many delicious Japanese dishes. Emersed yourself in history as you walk through the Furumachi district of Niigata, which renowned as much as Gion in Kyoto and Shinbashi in Tokyo for it's Geisha. ​

You can not only enjoy the delicious Japanese food, but also interact with locals! Meeting Niigata residents is an experience you are unlikely to quickly forget. ​

As you stroll through the streets, go into any restaurant that strikes your fancy! Your local guide will make restaurant recommendations and help you order in traditional Japanese restaurants.​

E Bike in Yuzawa Mountain Views Lake Daigenta and Rice Terraces

A tour to fully enjoy the night in Takada, a historic castle town in the snowy region. The dining venue features a special lunch at "Centennial Ryotei Ukisyo," a traditional restaurant with over 140 years of history and designated as a National Tangible Cultural Property. You can explore the lavish four-story wooden architecture and savor authentic ryotei cuisine.

Dinner at the 100 year old Ryotei and Snack Experience

Echigo-Yuzawa is a scenic tourist destination rich in nature, just a one-hour train ride from Tokyo. However, it can be difficult to reach the most attractive spots without a car. That's why a local guide will drive you efficiently to our recommended destinations. While reservations are typically required for Kiyotsu Gorge, it can arrange priority entry.

At Kiyotsu Gorge, you'll admire the majestic rock walls and clear streams, and enjoy a magical artistic space where the gorge's scenery is reflected on the water's surface.

Lunch will be served at Matsudai Satoyama Shokudo. The interior, adorned in shades of blue, features glass windows and mirrored tables, creating an artistic atmosphere. Please enjoy local cuisine with a modern twist. For tea time, you'll visit a traditional Japanese house café designed by German architect Karl Bencks.

Kiyotsu Gorge Tour Mirror to Nature

Minamiuonuma City is a renowned flower-viewing destination where clusters of the nationally famous "spring ephemeral flower, the Erythronium japonicum," can be seen everywhere. A local guide will drive you to the best viewing spots during the season, where you'll enjoy a roughly 2-hour stroll through the rural hills.
No special hiking gear is required. Casual attire suitable for a walk in the park is sufficient.

For lunch, we'll visit a restaurant serving local cuisine. Afterward, we'll stop at a popular local Japanese confectionery shop for some shopping. To conclude the tour, we'll visit the "Yasuo Toyama Wildflower Gallery," a gallery featuring watercolor paintings of wildflowers from all four seasons.

- Please note: On Wednesdays, Ueda no Sato and the Wildflower Gallery are closed, so we will instead take you for a lunch of Hegi soba and a visit to the Minamiuonuma Roadside Station.
