This leaves you the ability to leisurely access city center tourist attractions by simply following a walking tour map.

Winter - Anchorage All Around City Tour

The Seward Highway ranks among America's most breathtaking drives. On this self-guided driving tour, you'll go beyond landscapes that embody Alaska's rugged character and natural beauty. You'll follow a historic route that echoes the pioneering spirit of the Last Frontier, where each mile holds stories of those who carved a path through untamed wilderness.

The tour begins at Potter Marsh on the outskirts of Anchorage and ends in downtown Seward, next to Resurrection Bay's shoreline. Along the way, Jan and Stan, longtime Alaska residents, will bring the highway's history to life, sharing fascinating tales of this historic route that connects Anchorage to the Kenai Peninsula.

You'll take in breathtaking views of Turnagain Arm while learning about its dramatic bore tides and the endangered beluga whales that navigate these silty waters. Along the Seward Highway, you'll have the chance to spot dall sheep on the cliffs, the only place in Alaska where they're regularly seen near sea level.

Seward Highway: A Self Guided Drive of Alaska's Historic Road

This is a combined local Anchorage history and ebike tour. The ebikes ensure a pleasant and relaxing ride covering a large swath of Anchorage city. You will be guided on a tour through Anchorage's history, from pre-colonization through the present era. Along the "way" we'll cover Anchorage's history as a tent city labor camp to the aviation hub to the military buildup in World War II and through the oil-boom of the 1980s. 

The bike tour will mostly be along Anchorage's scenic greenbelt trails, including the Coastal Trail. Our route also takes us through the Campbell Creek and Chester Creek bike paths, were moose sightings are common. Belugas and bear have also been sighted.

All in all it's a fabulous way to spend a half-day in Anchorage, getting to know the city's history, enjoying a near-effortless ebike ride, and seeing the surrounding mountains and (with luck) seeing wildlife.
