Palo Verde Natural Park Boat Tour

A great way to connect to nature with a peaceful tour through the mangroves on a single or double kayak or on a stand-up paddle board. Take this tour at sunrise or at sunset (depending on the tides) accompanied by a local, experienced guide with a stop at a secluded black sand beach for refreshments.

Kayak Through the Mangroves 

After meeting your guide at our adventure center you will be driven to the Colorado River which hosts the best and funniest 4 km (2.5 miles) of river tubing you have ever experienced.

The raft consists of more than a dozen rapids and the opportunity to try out the adrenaline kick of the nine-foot "twister" waterfall. Once inside of the impressive river canyon, you will enjoy some breaks floating across natural swimming pools and passing by pre-Columbian indigenous caves. You will also be amazed by the beautiful scenery offered by the surrounding tropical forest and maybe spot some wildlife like howler monkeys and different species of waterbirds.

Once back at our adventure center, you will receive safety instructions about how to ride your horse and you will begin a two-hour horseback ride, where you will live the experience of the countryside riding trails across the forest until you reach a special spot at the Rio Blanco where you will swim in its unique volcanic turquoise waters.

Zip Lines Horseback Riding and River Tubing Full Day Combo

Come join us for a guided hike in the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park! When you arrive at our adventure center, we'll take you on a 25-minute drive to the edge of the park. Once there, your guide will introduce you to this incredible natural area, which was designated a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO in 2005. The park is home to one of the most active volcanoes in Costa Rica!

During the hike, we'll follow an accessible trail through the forest and discover various natural attractions, including giant strangler ficus trees, a seasonal waterfall, the "little volcano," smoking fumaroles, and the famous boiling mud pots, also known as "Las Pailas." Keep your eyes peeled for local wildlife such as armadillos, collared peccaries, black iguanas, boa constrictor snakes, white-nosed coatis, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, spider monkeys, toucans, and tapirs.

The trail is 2.5 miles (3.5 km) long and will take approximately 2.5 hours.
