The tour starts with the visit of the Royal Apartments of the Palace of Portici, summer residence of the Bourbons. In the same building the Herculanense Museum is housed, an interactive museum that reminds the first archeological museum of antiquities discovered in the ancient cities of Herculaneum and Pompei, buried under the eruption of Mount Vesuvius of 79 a. D. After this the tour will continue with the visit of the Villa Campolieto, one of the many historic palaces built with beautiful gardens by the noble families of the royal court not far from the Palace of Portici for the summer holidays.

Starting from Piazza Pinto it will be possible to dive into a fascinating medieval history which, passing through the marquisal palace which was the birthplace of the famous bishop Luigi Pappacoda, promoter of the Lecce Baroque in the second half of the 17th century, will continue with the visit of the two noble chapels up to to the majestic mother church of the sixteenth century, a jewel of art in which you can admire works of the eighteenth century in Naples. Accompanied by the stories that characterized the Cilento uprisings of 1840 you will find yourself immersed in the fascinating history mixed with legend of this small Cilento village. The archaeological area is recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1988 and is of considerable interest to visitors from all over the world.

Not far away it is possible to visit the rich archaeological museum containing objects of mainly ancient Greek and Lucan manufacture, found in the various necropolises in the surroundings. The highlight of the museum is the paintings found in the so-called diver's tomb, the only remaining example of Greek painting from Magna Graecia.
