Enjoy this tour between jungle, river, and beach to the rhythm of the horses' hooves, calm and docile. The adventure starts as soon as the gate opens: you will cross the Buenavista river followed by the observation of animals and flora in the Guanacaste forest (typical from the region).

At the end of the track, the Buenavista Beach: deserted and preserved from any infrastructures. This long beach of grey sand is typically Costa Rican. Your horse will paddle in the waves of the Pacific Ocean coastline for a magic experience.

We will found our way back through the field occupied by wild cows and horses. The tour last for about 2 hours and a half.

We made only small group for more conviviality but if you are group of 15 you are welcome too !

Tico's is a family-run business with more than 17 years of experience and a lot of passion for what we do. We care a lot about your safety, so all of your instructors are also certified lifeguards. Book your surf lessons with us, whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or advanced; we guarantee fun and safety at all levels – and all ages. We love teaching families and young kids as much as adults and friend groups.
We offer private, semi-private and group lessons for different prices. If you come alone and would like to participate in a group lesson, we can try to match you with fellow solo travelers.
After your lesson, you will be able to lend a surfboard to practice on your own for free and you are always welcome to come back should you have any questions about surfing or the area. We are also happy to provide you with tips for any other tours in and around Sámara.

Surf Lessons for the whole family in Playa Sámara

Barigona beach is a deserted beach. You will love to gallop on the white sand and its crystal clear water.

We also cross the rivers, the jungle and the forest of Guanacaste to observe the Wildlife of Costa Rica.

We will stop to talk about the fauna and flora as well as to make photo breaks and a small snack.

Exploring the jungle and the wonderful forest of Guanacaste and its wildlife: Koatis, howler monkeys, armadillos, birds and multicoloured butterflies… Shower for ponies after the walk. Childrens and adults will be on horseback. The guide keeps the ponies of the little ones on a leash. The stools are adapted. We have helmets and ponies very, very docile. Our passion is teaching others how to surf and for our clients to truly improve their surfing skills while having the best time of their lives.
