THE STORY

Your local guide, Matt, will lead a gentle, meandering walk around Glastonbury's countryside, taking in spectacular views and natural beauty while orientating to the town's main attractions. A Tor climb and visit to the springs are included.

Matt, a resident of Glastonbury for over 12 years, has keen knowledge of local heritage, attractions, trees, walking routes, and landscapes. He shares the natural beauty alongside historical insights into the town and countryside.

You will discover local attractions, idyllic spots off the beaten track, and meet some of the oldest and largest trees in the area.

The walk includes readings of seasonal nature poetry and a short acoustic performance of gentle folk music. A Tor climb can be included—a great way to finish by looking down on the routes travelled, landmarks, and Avalon's farthest horizons.

The Hole Escape Room is a fully immersive, state-of-the-art escape room experience, where you get to do the time without committing the crime! An adrenaline filled puzzle-based game set in a dark prison cell, known as The Hole. It's guaranteed to test your wits as you work together to outsmart The Hole and escape, making your way to freedom.

THE STORY
You're serving time behind bars, but have become tired of your sentence, you are clever, quick-witted and a notorious escape specialist. You have gained a reputation amongst Prison Officers for being difficult to detain, committing numerous escape attempts from your prison cell.
Now the Governor has had enough. The transfer papers have been signed and you're heading to the darkness; you're heading to The Hole.
The Hole is a specially designed prison cell, steel reinforced walls, electronic doors, and pitch black, The Hole is deemed inescapable. Once locked inside, escape is no longer an option.

Tor's Tour of Stonehenge is unlike any. The way he shares his visions of a world hardly known by historians is as if you are being transported into a timeless dream and seeing the ancients magically erecting the stone circle and aligning them to the solstices and equinoxes in person. He then takes you to a very special site that is only visited by 1% of tourists, here you can walk amongst 5000 years of history and imagine their motivation of creating such amazing sites.

After a great British pub lunch, we head off to Avebury, the largest surviving stone circle in the world, a site where you sit in the seat of the ancient Arch Druids and learn about the stars in the way they taught. 

You will not forget this day in a hurry, travelling through time with Tor's magical vision of delights.

Full-Day Stonehenge and Avebury Tour from Glastonbury

Our time together begins outside the famous Glastonbury Abbey. From there, we will follow the old pilgrims path to the Scared Thorn tree of Joseph of Arimathea.  Your journey then proceeds on a mysterious path along Faerie lanes, through the Jesus field and on to the Orchards of Avalon. This is where we ask permission to enter the sacred enclosure. Then we head to the very top of the Tor itself. On the summit, your guide tells the tale of Saints, Kings and the Faerie folk who dwell there.

At the top of the Tor you are left to sit in silence for a moment to embrace the healing energy of this holy place. After that we come together in a healing ceremony, connecting in circle to share our thoughts, to say what you felt or to just BE! 

On our way down to the White Spring, the candle lit water-chapel beneath the Tor, I leave you at the the Chalice Well Gardens World heritage site.

Avalon Adventure

Your host will be the Rev. Joseph Glanvill, Vicar of Frome, a world-renowned expert in witch-finding. He died in 1680, but will return to show you the places where the ghosts of Frome lurk.

You'll hear about the 12 men who were hanged, drawn and quartered - and whose cries can still be heard. 

You'll hear talk of apparitions in Frome's network of medieval tunnels.

And you'll be walking past ancient pubs whose cellars make people feel unsettled and nervous. 

For 1,300 years Frome has seen struggle and death, ghosts and ghouls. They're all around us, if you let yourself hear them.

The tour is mostly pavement, but our route will include some steep cobbled streets. 

We meet at Christchurch Cemetery, Christ Church, Christchurch Street West, Frome BA11 1EH. 
Please arrive at least 5 minutes early. The tour will start promptly for the convenience of our guests. 
Look out for your guide, the Revd Joseph Glanvill, who will be bewigged and wearing clerical robes.

The Setting:
Small colonies of the living are doing all they can to survive. You and your team have been tasked with scavenging for survival supplies for your colony. You'll only have 60 minutes to figure out which items you'll need and find as many items on the list as you can. 
Your Mission: 
With 1 hour and your team of up to 10 people, you will use your smartphone to search the area for much needed food, supplies, and shelter. Along the way, you will be asked to do some challenges or answer some trivia questions. The goal is to score at least 4000 points in 1 hour in order to survive the zombie apocalypse!
PS. Our game is family friendly, no actual zombies are involved in the scavenger hunt.

Well-behaved accompanied children are welcome for whom cream tea is available at an additional cost. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome, although we ask that they don't come into the winery.
